Camp Claiborne, was located in central Louisiana and was built just prior to the United States involvement in the second world war. Over a half-million soldiers were trained here in it's brief life which was just over 5 years. All that remains of the camp today are traces of foundations, roads and memories. In this site you'll find photographs both past and present, stories of the camp from the people who were there and links to other sites of interest. The camp may be gone, but it's story continues to live on.
